A message from Dr. Sandy:
Who I am: Sunshine and smiles; Organization and minimalism; Wife, mom, and Grandmom; Active and versatile; Conscious and proactive.
Why I teach: Personally, my yoga mat brings me back; back to my center, back home, back to connection and back to balance. Professionally, teaching is a way to live my purpose – to inspire and to empower.
My classes are: Honoring of the mechanics of your body, with a safe place to explore the edge of your abilities today and tomorrow.
What brought me to yoga: My mother started teaching yoga in 1975 (!) So, I have been exposed to yoga since I was a teenager. I have watched it grow in popularity over the years and knew I would teach one day. Yoga has been a great way to bring the knowledge I have following almost 40 years as a Doctor of Chiropractic to the mat.
Favorite pose: Tree. Because this was a pose I couldn’t do. As I have improved, this pose has improved. I find it to be playful as well as grounding.
Off the mat: I’m the CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) of Family Chiropractic of Lederach, a chiropractor of almost 40 years, a wife, mom of four, grandma of 3 and lover of life.
Inspiration: Every patient on my table, and every student in my class, is someone’s hero.
