Have you been thinking about taking a yoga class? Don't know where to start? Dr. Sandy's Gentle Yoga for Happy Spines guides the body through postures which promote healing. Join us on Monday evenings from 5:30 -6:45 at Anahata Yoga and Wellness, here in Lederach.
A message from Dr. Sandy:
Who I am: Sunshine and smiles; Organization and minimalism; Mom and Grandmom; Active and versatile; Conscious and proactive.
Why I teach: Personally, my yoga mat brings me back; back to my center, back home and back to balance. Professionally, teaching is a way to live my purpose – to inspire and to empower.
My classes are: Honoring of the mechanics of your body, with a safe place to explore the edge of your abilities today and tomorrow.
What brought me to yoga: My mother started teaching yoga in 1975 (!) So, I have been exposed to yoga since I was a teenager. I have watched it grow in popularity over the years and knew I would teach one day.
Favorite pose: Tree. Because this was a pose I couldn’t do. As I have improved, this pose has improved. I find it to be playful as well as grounding.
Off the mat: I’m the CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) of Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center of Lederach, a chiropractor of 37 years, mom of four, grandma of 2 (one on the way), wife of Russ and lover of life.
Inspiration: Every patient on my table, and every student in my class is someone’s hero.
